Nestled in the embrace of the recently unveiled Andaz Wailea Hotel, Mōkapu Beach beckons with its pristine shores and diverse aquatic attractions. Aptly named "sacred island," this beach offers not only good swimming and boogie boarding but also an exceptional snorkeling experience around the rocky outcrop to the south.

While the beach's name traces back to a small rock islet that once graced its offshore waters, remnants of Mokapu Island are now subtle rock formations. Unfortunately, many South Maui islets, including Mokapu, met their demise during WWII combat training exercises.

Conveniently sharing a parking lot with Ulua Beach, Mōkapu Beach provides a gateway to coastal wonders. Keep in mind that the lot might fill up quickly, especially with the popularity of dive instructors frequenting Ulua Beach. In such cases, an alternative is parking at the south lot for Keawakapu Beach and taking a scenic stroll along the connected shorelines.
