Ka'upulehu Beach, nestled near the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai on the Kohala Coast of the Big Island, is a true gem awaiting both tourists and locals. Its proximity to the resort adds an extra layer of convenience, making it a beloved beachfront destination for all to enjoy. This picturesque beach stretches along a significant length, predominantly featuring a lava bench along its shore, which can limit swimming opportunities. However, there are specific areas that offer more accessible entry into the water, creating a unique beach experience.
In front of Kona Village, a patch of sandy shoreline extends into the ocean, allowing for a more straightforward approach to the water. Additionally, two sheltered coves have been thoughtfully created in front of the Four Seasons Resort, providing additional options for beachgoers to enjoy. These coves offer better swimming conditions for visitors.
Accessing Ka'upulehu Beach is possible from either of these two outstanding resorts. For those staying at the Four Seasons, it's just a short 0.1-mile walk to the beach. Keep in mind that there are limited Beach Access parking spaces available at this location, and these spaces are occasionally occupied by non-rental vehicles. However, if you choose to access the beach from Kona Village, you'll find plenty of parking spaces, albeit requiring a slightly longer half-mile walk to reach the beach. It's worth noting that this distance is less than the previously mentioned "1 mile" figure provided at the guard shack, ensuring a more accurate perspective.
Ka'upulehu Beach beckons with its beauty and the luxury of its surroundings. The presence of top-notch resorts nearby adds to the allure of this beach destination.
