Alan Davis Beach

Oahu's Daredevil Paradise

Nestled in Honolulu, Alan Davis Beach exudes an enticing allure, transporting visitors to a seemingly distant paradise. Its secluded charm is most pronounced during weekdays, offering an authentic sense of hidden tranquility. However, on weekends, the beach comes to life with a modest influx of visitors. Formerly a hotspot for local youth, drawn by a unique utility pole perched on the cliff's edge, Alan Davis Beach underwent changes with the pole's removal. Despite the disappearance of jumping platforms, caution is advised against risky leaps into the ocean.

Adjacent to Pele's Chair and accessible via the Kaiwi Shoreline Trail, Alan Davis Beach sits along the Makapu'u Point Lighthouse Trail. While the Kaiwi Shoreline Trail is a manageable hike, covering over a mile, the journey promises scenic beauty. With no amenities or lifeguards, visitors are encouraged to plan meticulously, embracing the beach's unspoiled beauty while acknowledging the inherent risks of swimming.
